SUMO GAMER REVIEW
After reviewing the OMNI, the fine folks at Sumo asked if I would have a look at their GAMER chair. Expecting something similar to the OMNI, imagine my surprise when it arrived. This chair is a completely different animal and about the only thing is has in common with the OMNI is it's size. Disguised in a moderately shaped delivery box, it quickly expanded to about 2X the size I imagined it would be. SUMO markets this as a 'Kids Bean Bag Chair' but this in no way close in size to those department store bean bags you see scattered around places like Wal-Mart and Target. I'm not sure where they find these 'kids' at Sumo, but the GAMER easily fit myself AND my three year old kid and still had plenty of room for moving around.
While the OMNI contains small beads and has a nylon cover, the GAMER has a much softer feel and contains 100% shredded furniture grade urethane foam. The outside cover is made of micro suede and again is much softer than the ONMI. While the GAMER may not conform to as many shapes as the OMNI, I must say that it's much more comfortable. The thing I liked most about the GAMER is the fact that the suede cover can be easily removed and is machine washable. When you have a small child that likes to color and finger-paint on everything in sight, it's a godsend to be able to quickly throw the cover in the wash. I must also mention that the cover is extremely easy to slip on and off, it's not skin tight like many removable covers which require multiple people to contort themselves just to try and zip it back up. While I enjoy the brown color of the GAMER I received, it would be nice if additional covers could be purchased from SUMO for a change of color or in case the cover is damaged. Perhaps this is something they will add in the future.
Having used two completely different products from SUMO, I can honestly say that I am thoroughly impressed with both the quality and comfort level of these bean bag chairs. I won't look at other bean bags the same and certainly will recommend the SUMO line over any other lounging gear. From playing games to watching movies to simply sitting and relaxing, you won't go wrong with a chair from SUMO.

The More The Merrier
When I was a teenager, we had a beanbag chair. It was huge, mushy, and we loved it. I think it was my favorite place to sleep, and my brother practically lived in it. He played video games while sitting in it, and watched television there. After a while, it got kinda flat though, and not so much fun. Continue reading →

Beanbag chairs have been around since the early 60's and have stuck around for good reason. Nothing quite beats the comfort of sinking into a nice beanbag chair to play your favorite video game or to watch a movie. While there may be plenty of Beanbags out on the market, there is but one that towers above all others, and makes the foam beans within their stitching quiver with fear. I am, of course, referring to the aptly named Gigantor available from Sumo Lounge. Continue reading →
