Omni Beanbag Chair By SUMO Review
The Omni Beanbag Chair by SUMO is a super sized beanbag that can be placed in any room. It can not only take the place of your favorite gaming chair, but thanks to how comfortable you can get while in a natural position your body will appreciate, it can also be put in a room where you want to relax and unwind. The Omni Beanbag chair has no limits, but watch out: as soon the kids find out how comfortable the Omni is, you may lose your favorite seat in the house. While talking about kids, this one is kid "dirt" friendly, as it is easily cleaned with a damp rag to look good as new.
Here are some of the features:
Omni Beanbag Chair Features
Choose the color of your beanbag chair – 10 achingly fashionable colors to choose from
Configure your beanbag chair in 10 different positions (discovered so far – some say we lack imagination)
Our giant beanbags measure big – 4.5’ X 5.5, but weighs little – just 18lbs
Space age rip-proof nylon, stays new looking – easy to clean
Our beanbags are filled with top quality Sumo beads
As you can see it does come in a large box, weighs in at about eighteen pounds, and measures 4.5’ X 5.5′ once it is out of the box and protective plastic bag. Just a reminder: DO NOT use a sharp blade to open the box, I wouldn’t want you to slice open your new Omni before getting it out of the box, and spilling the beans.
Set up of the Omni Chair couldn’t be easier! Pull it out of the box, and let your imagination take over. I checked out the website and saw some of the ways they had the Omni Chair displayed, and it is as easy as pulling up one side to make a seat for yourself and sitting down. The customization is endless; let your inner kid go to town and you will find out how many positions the Omni Beanbag Chair can be made into. A lot of places I see the Omni being useful are in the kid’s room, a dorm room, the family room and, with the wide variety of colors, it might even match your expensive furniture in the living room, taking the place of the most comfortable seat in the house.
I sat in the Omni for almost 5 hours at one point, and I can say that I was comfortable, and found it easy to move in. The Omni takes the shape of your body, and puts you in a natural position that conforms to your body shape and type (try to do that in your gaming chair). This was huge for me because, as we all know, sitting in our favorite gaming chair for a long time becomes uncomfortable, which can make us stop playing. I can think of nothing worse than facing a boss battle in my favorite game, and having to save my game to play another day because I need to give my body a break. I found that in this beanbag chair, I was not fidgeting to get comfortable like I normally do, which was great.
From a quality perspective, the Omni is not your regular beanbag chair. Older beanbags were made from vinyl, and either cracked or ripped open, spilling "beans" all over the place. The construction and material that make up the Omni is of high quality nylon, and is double stitched (I am not a tailor; I am guessing the stitch here) giving the seams extra strength.
The price of the Omni is $149.99, and comes with free shipping (FedEx) and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Now, some may be taken back by the price tag on this one, but trust me here, this is worth every penny of that $149.99. Add in the free shipping, and that guarantee, and you have yourself a versatile, comfortable piece of furniture that weighs in at only eighteen pounds and can be moved to any room. Do yourself a favor; if you are in the market for a new gaming chair, or just a place to relax, pick up a Omni Beanbag Chair: you will not be disappointed.

We were fortunate to review a Sumo Lounge Emperor urban lounge chair, and let me tell you, this is no ordinary chair. The Sumo measures 55” x 25” and is the perfect chair to snuggle up with your partner and watch a movie or read your favorite book! Continue reading →
Taking a break from our usual Linux hardware coverage and performance benchmarking this weekend is a look at the Sumo Emperor, a comfortable basis for lounging or working from a laptop. Continue reading →
The kind folks at Sumo offered to send Co-Optimus one of their giant bean bag chairs for a review. I’m an expert in leisure, so I nominated myself for the job. We've already covered the Sumo Couple, a chair designed for two, but up this time to check out was the Sumo Emperor. I’ll admit I was disappointed when I first laid eyes on the Emperor. It wasn’t the chair itself, but the box it came in. Continue reading →
