Omni Bag from Sumolounge

We do write about bags all day long, so it was going to make perfect sense to have us take a closer look at this enormous bean bag as well. Let's take a look at the specs:

- Size: 5.5 x 4.5 feet
- Material: Ballistic nylon
- Filling: Millions of little Virgin Polystyrene Foam Balls

As you can see, the bag is quite large. To call it just a bean bag would really not do it justice. The Omni is absolutely brilliant, it goes way beyond the traditional bean bag that you used to have as a kid. The Omni is an engineering masterpiece. Laying on the ground, it appears like it's a lifeless, shapeless form that couldn't really provide any good seating support at all. Don't be fooled, once you place it in a preferred position and sit down in it, the sturdy little foam balls realign around your body, molding you comfortably into a shell that hugs your body. When Megs sat beside me on the Omni, the shape still didn't give in. You can easily change its placement and sit whichever way you feel most comfortable in - the Omni will make it happen.

The material is a very sturdy nylon that is still comfortable to the touch. You would think that nylon isn't the best material for a seat, but the Omni does manage to stay very comfortable, even over longer seating periods. And thanks to this choice of exterior, your bag is probably going to last forever. For $150 (free shipping!), the Omni is a great piece of furniture that should not be missing in any household. It's great to bum around in, watch your favorite TV shows, play video games, or hop on your lap top and browse your fav website (say, maybe, Purse Blog).

So back in February, I reviewed an extraordinary product from Sumo: the Gigantor, a premium beanbag large enough for the whole family, a replacement for a sofa. (Star Trek-obsessed household that we are, it was soon dubbed “The Tribble.”) Now Sumo has a new, portable product that also intimidates and challenges expectation Continue reading →

The Omni Reloaded isn't a bean bag -- instead, it's a polyurethane chair/backrest. It takes up a lot less room than Sumo's normal products, as you can scrunch it up and store it upright in a closet, or with the included travel bag. "Scrunching" as I call it is the name of the game, as you can pretty much contort this thing into any form you want. Continue reading →

I love my Lazy Boy couch and my double recliner, but most furniture items want you to adapt to them instead of the other way around. You can’t easily move a recliner around your home from room to room or fold it up and shove it under the bed when you don’t need it. But with the new Sumo Omni Reloaded from Sumo Lounge you can do exactly that. Continue reading →
