Review: Sumo Titan
don’t know about you guys, but when I game, I like to be comfortable; you know, a drink in one hand, controller in the other, all while sitting on my favorite chair. Now, for years that chair had always been the loveseat slightly askew to the big screen TV, but now I think I may be cheating on it.
Enter the Sumo Titan. Upon first glance, it may seem like just another bean bag chair, but to put it simply, the Sumo Titan is one of the most comfortable pieces of furniture I’ve ever sat on. If you’re in the mood for a new place to game, or just chill with your friends (and if you have the room), you’re going to want to check out the Titan.
"...this thing is massive."

First let’s get the obvious out of the way, this thing is massive. Now, with a name like the Sumo Titan, you would think that’d go without saying - but I can’t stress enough just how impressive the size of it is. Measuring in at 70”x49”x36” and weighing in at almost 80 lbs, the Sumo Titan is simply a beast of furniture. It’s a bit intimidating even to see the thing in its massive box waiting for you at your doorstep, and getting the cover (in color and material of your choosing) on feels like zipping a walrus into a pair of skin tight jeans. So, with a bit of a skeptic view, I took it for a test drive.
The result? Ridiculously comfortable. The Sumo Titan features an extra-long body that makes it perfect for laying down, and due to its sturdy craftsmanship, it’s going to be a long time before it ever goes flat. We tried the Sumo Titan in a variety of different ways. Laying on it? Great. Sleeping? Comfortable. Propped up against a wall with my back on it? Even better. The Sumo Titan is simply a versatile and incredibly comfortable chair that I couldn’t get enough of - no really, I found myself using it to sit on rather than any piece of our living room set. One of my favorite parts of the Sumo Titan is the fact that the cover can unzip and is fully machine-washable, so your chair is always going to look new.
"...the Sumo Titan is worth a bit of rearranging for its comfort."
That being said though, the chair does have its limitations. The first of course being its size. Now, the size is great for comfort and all, but it can also be a burden if you’re not ready for it. Because the Sumo Titan is so large, you’ve got to have a place ready for it, and it’s got to be a big space. Also, don’t even think about moving it without at least another person. My roommate and I tried moving it from our living room to our extra bedroom upstairs and it became quite the task. All that aside, if you have the space for it, the Sumo Titan is worth a bit of rearranging for its comfort.
The Sumo Titan, along with all of Sumo’s beanbag chair products are available now at www.sumolounge.com. Specifically, the Titan is available in a variety of different colors and materials for $399.99. The price may seem a bit hefty, but it truly is worth it.
