What do the city’s sexiest lingerie models and fund-raising have to do with each other? Well, at SS Promotions/May Models’ fourth annual Catwalk Cure lingerie runway show benefit for gentlemen, the two paired like haute and couture for a different type of guys’ night out.

Event producer Lori Heller of Heller Productions worked with several members of Toronto’s event industry to produce the event. Eddie Design Studio designed the invitations, Swing Rosie performed swing music favourites, and theideashop produced the runway show. Proceeds from this year’s event went to the Toronto Sunnybrook & Women’s Regional Cancer Centre.

The evening began in Next Level, the newest rooftop addition to the Docks Nightclub, with culinary offerings from such varied caterers and restaurants as North 44, Ace Bakery, Sotto Sotto, Mistura, Flow Restaurant, and Wanda’s Pie in the Sky. The buffet-style setting was enhanced with decor from Sumo Lounge: a collage of tan and red beanbag chairs and ottomans set against the backdrop of the city’s waterfront and skyline.

The after-dinner party brought guests to the lower level of the venue for a live auction and the runway show. Models from SS Promotions/May Models performed in a dynamic fashion show choreographed and designed by theideashop. Westbury National Show Systems’ lit runway was set off by a tall LED wall set to display various images of models in lingerie, the colour changing with each act. The male crowd’s evening concluded with sexy sirens cascading along the runway to tunes like “Singin’ in the Rain” while carrying umbrellas.
