SumoLounge’s “Omni” chair reviewed
You should have seen the looks on our faces when a sizeable box arrived on our doorstep. After looking-suspiciously from side to side, we hauled it into our office and ripped it open. The contents would turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
A huge [expletive deleted] bean bag!
Actually, it’s the “Omni” from Sumo Lounge, a 4.5′ x 5.5′ bean bag chair that weighs in at around 15 lbs. It’s made out of bonafide “space age and rip-proof” nylon and filled with tiny beads of goodness (also known as “Sumo Beads”). Now, we know what you’re all thinking because it’s the same thing we were pondering when we finally got over the initial excitement of our new office toy: how is this BlackBerry related, exactly?
Well, you can sit in it while using your BlackBerry, obviously! The folks at SumoLounge have laid out 10 different ways for the Omni to be used (and they use a looker of a lady to demonstrate). It doesn’t matter how you use it, we’ll tell you that we’ve never rested our laurels (or selves) into anything so comfortable. I’m actually sitting in it while typing this review, and whoever said “heaven is a place on Earth” probably said it while sitting in this chair.
A great addition to the office as long as your employees are well rested (we’ve had a napper in it already), and even better for the home, the Omni gets our stamp of approval. The sale price of $129 USD, down from $149, may seem steep, but trust us when we tell you it’s more than worth it to sink yourself into the comfort this chair lends. Visit SumoLounge’s official site for more details and shots of what should be the 9th wonder of the world (you know, after Andre the Giant).
