SUMO OMNI SUPER-SIZED PILLOW
We typically don’t do reviews here at Cheat Happens, but the fine folks at Sumo were kind enough to send us one of their Sumo Omni products so I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
What is a Sumo Omni you ask? I suppose us old-school peeps would refer to it as a ‘bean-bag’, but it’s certainly not like any bean-bag I have seen before. It’s more of an over-sized pillow that can be shaped into many different forms to accomodate just about any lounging activity.
The first thing that came to mind when I opened the box was ‘Wow, this thing is huge!’. Measuring 4.5′ by 5.5′ and coming in at 18 pounds, this is no kiddie-sized chair. One thing that immediately impressed me was the quality. I can remember having bean-bags that would easily rip and have to constantly be patched. Not this one. This thing is made of rip-proof nylon and is very sturdy. It’s also a great looking chair.
We play a lot of video games at Cheat Happens and so that was the first order of business when it came to testing out the comfort of the Sumo. Again, I was very impressed. The chair contains small beads which slowly form around your position. Once I got settled in, it was quite comfortable and worked out great for extended gaming sessions. In addition to playing games, I also watched movies and even took a nap on the Sumo.
Overall, I have really enjoyed having the Sumo and now use it on an almost daily basis. I actually find myself having to fight over it with my wife and two year old daughter. The product I received was Midnight Blue, but it’s available in a wide range of colors. If you’re looking for a comfortable, bean-bag style lounge chair, I highly recommend you put the Sumo on your short list. It can be purchased from their website for $149 USD with free shipping.
Check out their website for photos or to purchase your own.
