SUMO LOUNGE TO PROVIDE HIGH TECH BEANBAG FURNITURE AT INTERNATIONAL AIDS CONFERENCE IN TORONTO (LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7, 2006) — Sumo Lounge Urban Lounge Gear, the world’s premiere high tech beanbag furniture company, is providing stylish seating at AIDS 2006, THE XVI International AIDS Conference to be held Aug. 13 – 18, 2006 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada. The conference is the largest biannual HIV/AIDS conference in the world, attracting over 20,000 activists, political figures, medical professionals and journalists. The Sumo Lounge furniture will be located in the POSITIVE SPACE, the Global Village Networking Zone for People Living with HIV and AIDS. The POSITIVE SPACE is a comfortable lounge area where attendees can relax, engage and exchange ideas. The POSITIVE SPACE is coordinated jointly by the Global Network of People living with HIV/AIDS (GNP+) and the International Community of Women living with HIV/AIDS (ICW), both co-organizers of the International AIDS Conference. GNP+ (www.gnpplus.net) is a global network of networks for and by people living with HIV and AIDS. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of all people living with HIV and AIDS. ICW (www.icw.org) is an international network run for and by HIV positive women that promotes all women’s voices and advocates for changes that improve positive women’s lives. Sumo Lounge’s contribution to the International AIDS Conference is part of the “Sumo Cares” program of charitable donations. Sumo Lounge is currently giving Omnis and Ottos to the New Orleans Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which sells donated products to help fund Habitat for Humanity’s home building efforts for Hurricane Katrina victims in the New Orleans area. Sumo Lounge has provided chairs for such diverse events and venues as the Los Angeles Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Toronto Fashion Week, Los Angeles Museum of Art, US Open of Surfing, X Games, Playboy Super Bowl Party, MTV and the Toronto Museum of Art.
