Sumo Lounge Omni Chair Review
The chair is touted to be an ‘urban lounge chair’ and that really sums up what it is. The chair is made of a very durable nylon that would stand up to quite a bit of abuse I would imagine. I took a peek inside the bags themselves and they’re filled with hundreds of thousands of pellet sized foamls. The flaps are held together with some very strong Velcro that really took some effort to get loose. Personally, I think that’s a great thing, as I wouldn’t want the contents of the bags to ever end up floating around any room.
Actually using the Sumo Lounge
When you think of a beanbag you think of a last resort seat for the most part. They were great as a little kid because you could be completely engulfed in them. The Sumo Omni brings back those feelings to your inner child. The chair is huge. The minute I sat down for the first time I sank into the chair just enough for it to form armrests and a headrest for me. I propped my feet on the Otto and just took it in. I ended up spending most of the evening in front of the TV in the chair, not wanting to move.
The chair has turned into my choice place to sit and watch TV, read, or play video games – it’s a great change from sitting on the couch for each. Reading in the Omni is quite relaxing, but I’ll have to be honest and say that I’m using it mostly for gaming.
All in all.
What’s great is that it can be so much more than a chair, its unique shape allows you to basically flop in any which way and it be comfortable. It can stand alone in a room, be propped up against the wall, or lay flat. All in all the Sumo products are high quality items that would make a fantastic gift or addition to a room in your house, whether it be for TV, reading, gaming, or otherwise, they are quite comfortable pieces of furniture.
