TEST 1: DURABILITY
We were impressed with how well this thing held up. Throughout the day we took numerous pics using the chair in various ways and it did not bust. Hell it did not even leak. After all the tests we even had fun jumping onto it from the stairs and seeing how far we could slide. I would not suggest doing that; but as far as durable the Sumo held up.
This thing is light and on hardwood or laminate floors it will just slide right across. It is not difficult to pick up at all and we even swung them around throughout the day. However, while light, they are a little difficult to navigate. Since they are so large and don’t hold a set shape you may have a little bit of work navigating them through doors or up and down stairs.
Of course with a chair like this you will probably encounter some spills near, on, or around it based off of what you are using it for. Dry items like chips shake right off. As far as gooey foods like pizza a slight damp rag should wipe it right off. And with drinks, well we poured a shot glass worth of water on the thing and let it set for about 2 minutes. It did not soak into the bag and it came right up with a paper towel. This is great because if you spill something and notice right away you have time to get a towel to clean it up without worrying about soaking the bag. We did not try with a colored soda so you may want to be careful if you buy a lighter color Sumo it may stain; but we did not have a chance to test that. But the official site says they are stain resistant.
Throughout the day we played, sat on, and even laid on the Sumos. They were comfortable. You can easily have two people lay on one. As far as gaming goes you may have to move the beans around inside until you get it adjusted; but we found by leaning it against a couch or the wall you will have back support as well as butt support.
Trust me these things are fun. Now I am putting a warning here that many of our tests are not to be tried at home. But throughout the day we Sumo wrestled with them, tossed them around, and had a lot of laughs with the things we came up with. I have to say they are more than just a chair.
