Sumo Omni Chair
Unlike what you might typically think of as a bean bag chair, the Omni is rectangular rather than the typical rounded shape. Additionally, the fabric is something you might expect to see from a high-end camping tent, and feels very rugged. As a college student, I went through many bean bag chairs that just didn’t seem to last because they were made from flimsy materials.
Not so with the Omni chair. I have been putting it through some pretty extensive “product testing,” which involved long hours of watching DVDs of Lost and Firefly. While it’s not exactly rocket science, I consider myself a pretty average person, so I’m assuming everyone else will like it too.
My favorite way to use it is as a backup couch, when having guests over. If you lean it against the wall, it is serves as a make-shift futon. Even when there are enough available seats, I have found myself tending towards the Omni, using the excuse that I needed to “test it out” further for my review, rather than let friends or family have their turn.
Don’t take my word for it though. The Omni has been spotted at far more auspicious locations than my humble living room. These chairs have turned up at places such as: X-Games, Sundance and LA Film Festival. Suffice it to say, Sumo Lounge makes a quality product. If you happen to find yourself in the market for a comfortable bean bag chair, be sure to check ’em out.
