Southern Living Idea House

Sumo is proud to to be part of the 2008 Southern Living Idea House.

The Southern Living Idea House being built in beautiful Western North Carolina near the town of Sandy Mush and the city of Asheville is near completion and will open for tours in June. The house is a $1.2 million dollar home being built by EcoBuilders in the the development of Whisper Mountain. It is a “green”certified Healthy Built Home with many features that will hopefully encourage visitors to intiate these practices in their own home. Along with the structure of the home the interiors, designed by Alchemy Design Studio of Asheville, N.C., will incorporate green finishes.Concrete countertops,recycled glass tile, FSC woods, Low VOC paints, recycled leather tiles, coconut tiles,100% hemp wallcoverings, the list goes on and on.But the designers know that in the end theusability of the furnishings counts too. That is why in places like the loft or bunkroom you will find fun and comfy Sumoloungers for the everyday comforts of a relaxed lifestyle.
